Ted is the founding partner of TH Squared Capital and actively works with technology firms, corporations, and institutional fund investors across sectors such as energy, sustainability, software, and auto mobility.
Ted was a Venture Partner at The Westly Group - a climate & mobility technology VC firm on Sand Hill Road. Ted was also the founding managing partner of Menlo Park’s Acario Ventures (Funded by Tokyo Gas Co. of Japan).
Before venture capital, Ted served as the Chief Digital Investment Officer of Tokyo Gas Company in Japan. He has been instrumental in forming the corporate innovation strategy as well as executing on the corporate venture business for Tokyo Gas out of Japan and US. Prior to Tokyo Gas, Ted spent a decade plus as an energy investment banker at Citigroup, JP Morgan, and Barclays Capital across Asia Pacific. In addition, Ted was a two time startup co-founder.
Ted started his career in Houston Texas with Enron Capital & Trade in 1998 as a financial analyst. He holds a bachelor degree in Economics from The University of Michigan, an MBA from INSEAD, and an Executive Education Certificate from Stanford GSB.
